Training Print E-mail

Training is a prerequisite of running GET A GRIP teenz.  It is essential for facilitators to have a healthy understanding of their own sexuality and be confident to provide a safe and open environment for healthy discussion amongst the youth participants.  The facilitator’s ability to do this will be carefully assessed by LVLup representatives at the time of program application.  All facilitators must hold a blue card.

How do I get Trained?

Initially, training days will be held at a central location in Brisbane. Training for two facilitators over an eight hour day is included in the purchase price of the program.

A training agreement is entered into upon purchase of GET A GRIP teenz. Each facilitator must apply for acceptance by answering a series of questions and be willing to have a phone interview. Upon approval, facilitators may elect a preferable day and time frame for training. LVLup will aim to work with prospective facilitators by arranging a minimum of 10 people to be in attendance.

As demand increases in other locations throughout Australia, training will also be arranged in these areas.

Each school or youth entity also has the opportunity to engage a trained representative of LVLup to run a modified intensive of the program over a one day period at additional cost. This enables prospective facilitators to be ‘trained on the job’.

Trained facilitators receive a certificate of completion. Follow-up support is available from LVLup.
